What are the characteristics of photographic beauty?
I think that beauty in photography is when the photo have a story behind it and/or when it have color that fits the photo. because I think that some photos looks better in sepia or in black&white and others in brighter colors.
Can something "ugly" be photographed and be considered beautiful? Why? How? Examples?
It depends. I personally do not think that a spider would look beautiful in any way. There can be some cool pictures, but with the spider in it, it can not be beautiful. I chose a picture of a peacock even if it's not ugly in real life but because it looks better when you makes it colors brighter!
